Latvijas Pasts Introduces QR Code Pickup for Parcel Lockers
Recipients can now collect shipments from Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers by scanning a QR code received via email, making pickup faster and easier. The existing 6-digit PIN code will remain available as an alternative.
Latvijas Pasts has introduced a new and more convenient way for recipients to collect their shipments from parcel lockers.
From now on, customers will receive a QR code in their delivery notification email, which can be scanned directly at the parcel locker to open the compartment. This option is available in addition to the existing 6-digit PIN code, which remains unchanged and can still be used.
What changes for recipients
When a shipment arrives at a Latvijas Pasts parcel locker, the recipient will receive the usual email notification. The email will now also include a QR code designed for easy scanning on mobile devices, without needing to zoom in.
How it works at the parcel locker
Indoor parcel lockers
After pressing the “Receive” button on the screen, recipients will see the option to scan the QR code.
Outdoor parcel lockers
The scanner is active immediately, allowing recipients to scan the QR code at any time.
The traditional PIN code pickup option remains available as an alternative method.
