SmartPosti has announced upcoming price increases for shipments to EU destinations outside the Baltics. Baltic route prices will remain unchanged.
📅 Starting May 1, SmartPosti plans to increase prices for shipments to EU countries outside Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
What this update means in practice:
Average increase across EU: +67.3%
Smallest increase: Poland +30.2%
Largest increases: Spain +119%, Portugal +127%
Baltic shipments remain unchanged
Why this change is planned
SmartPosti calculates shipment costs based on actual parcel weight, while their delivery partner GLS additionally uses volumetric weight when determining transport costs. As a result, SmartPosti has decided to increase their base rates to align pricing with these delivery costs.
SmartPosti will continue charging based on actual parcel weight only - volumetric weight will not be introduced.
📌 The updated rates will be reflected automatically on the Swotzy platform starting May 1.
